FERREIRA PROJECTS would like to announce PURE_photography the fourth in the PURE series of exhibitions in which participating artists; Matthew Hammond, Emer O’Brien, Carlos Sarria, Jane Stockdale and Anastasia Vasileiou, have concentrated on producing an exhibition of photographs which examine how the medium can transcend it’s axiomatic stillness to relate a journey.

The work demonstrates the photographer’s ability to navigate the subject, leading the viewer, through their unique interpretation of the environmental, architectural and the experiential. Here, we are escorted through ominous domestic interiors, hermetic Japanese subculture and ethereal figure-scapes. The passage is fragmented, but the destination is ultimately coherent and poignant.

PURE is an exhibition series of contemporary art, conceived by FERREIRA PROJECTS, that showcases art in its purest form; art where the prominence is given to the aesthetic rather than the theoretic, the experiential rather than the conceptual and play before pretension. These exhibitions aim to provide highly accessible, contemporary work, which the widest possible audience can appreciate, engage with and enjoy.
